Camp Hope
Camp Hope is a week long overnight camp for children who have been exposed to trauma. Camp Hope America produces a specialized curriculum to help children learn to believe in themselves, believe in others and believe in their dreams. By engaging in traditional camping activities, children learn the skills they need to overcome challenges and have hope for their future dreams.
Staff at the Irving Family Advocacy Center have been in the process of bringing Camp Hope to Irving Texas for the past year. In summer of 2023, staff observed Camp Hope in action and here is what the children at that camp had to say about bringing Camp Hope back to Irving, Texas:
In addition to the weeklong camp, children are enrolled in a yearlong Pathways program where they continue to engage with the mentors from camp and participate in local activities to learn what their community has to offer!
We are excited to host Camp Hope June 24-28, 2024 at a local campsite for children impacted by domestic violence and child abuse in Irving, Texas. If you are interested in helping with this event, there are lots of ways to get involved!

3. Write a note of encouragement to a camper

Individual notes must be in an unsealed envelope.
4. Sponsor Pathways programming
Campers will be enrolled in year-round mentorship programming to engage with the
resources in their community and their camp mentors.
